THERMODYNAMIC SOLAR ENERGY

   FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

·        Does the ENERGIE THERMODYNAMIC SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM have a backup power alternative?

Yes, there is backup power, but only for emergencies, such as a
broken   pipe; a loss of the working fluid or greater demand for the use
of hot water, ( i.e. More people at home.)

·        Why is the backup power manual?

It is extremely rare that the backup power needs to be engaged.

Requiring a manual engagement of the back up power conserves

energy and makes the homeowner aware of the heat source and lets

you know when the ENERGIE THERMODYNAMIC SOLAR ENERGY

          SYSTEM is heating the water.

·        Can the panels be placed in any direction?

Although panels can face any direction, for maximum efficiency

the panel(s)  should be orientated to a southern exposure.

·        What is the weight of a panel?

          Each panel weights 15 lbs.

·        What are the measurements of a panel?

          32”x78”.

·        How high can it heat the water?

The water temperature can be heated to 131 F.

·        Will I have hot water, on days without sun?

Yes. The THERMODYNAMIC SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM

doesn’t require the sun to heat the water. It will work extremely well in

temperatures as low as 40 f. degrees

·        Do I need special water pipelines?

No. Installation makes maximum use of the existing pipelines.

·        Are the panels required to be installed on the roof?

No. As the panels do not need direct sun, they may be placed on a

garage wall, or even inside the garage.  However, for maximum

efficiency they should be orientated to a southern exposure.

·        What kind of gas is used in the system?

The gas we use is R134a. It is the same as found in most refrigerators
and automobile air conditioning systems, today.

·        If there is a loss of gas, is it any problem to the environment?

          No. R134a is environmental friendly.

·        Does the ENERGIE THERMODYNAMIC SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM
 require maintenance?

No. It only requires that you check the magnesium anode, yearly.

·        At what distance should the panels be placed from the tank?

The panels should be placed no more than 48 feet in height, and 96
linear feet in distance from the tank.

·        How much energy does the system consume?

Energy consumption varies based on the size of the system
purchased. For comparison purposes a 75 gallon water tank system
uses an input of 390 watts, and generates a  total system output of
1690 watts,  reducing your electricity usage by 75%, and incurs
          no natural gas charges.

·        Are the panels corrosion resistant?

Yes, they are made of anodized aluminum.

·        Can the panels be painted?

Yes. But the colors should be dark. If not, the efficiency may be
          decreased.

·        Is the THERMODYNAMIC SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM covered by a warranty?

Yes, a 10 year written warranty is provided.

·        Do I have to charge the system with R134a frequently?

No, as indicated above the only maintenance the system should ever
need is to check the magnesium anode, and replace when necessary.

·        Does this system produce electricity?

No. The THERMODYNAMIC SOLAR SYSTEM process heats the
          water.

·        What is the tank constructed of?

The interior is stainless steel; a polyurethane layer insulates it, the
          exterior is high impact-resistant polystyrene.
